Land Morphology

Land Morphology is a Seattle-based landscape architecture practice focused on creating rich, emotive places across the country. Started by Richard Hartlage, Property Morphology is comprised of a talented interdisciplinary team of landscape architects, creative designers, urban planners and horticulturists, who create highly diverse spaces that integrate beautiful built form, complex garden, and the fine disciplines. Each space is distinctively memorable, vibrant, carefully created, and environmentally sustainable.

Morphology is the study of how things are put together, like the makeup of animals and plants, or the branch of linguistics that studies the structure of words.

Within morphology, the word part morph- means “form” and -ology means “the study of. ” So, those who study how something is made or shaped are engaged in morphology. In biology, the morphology of fish might check out how the gills work as section of the respiratory system. In language morphology, you might study how prefixes and suffixes added to anything change its that means.
