How do we handle personal data?
This policy explains the data that may be processed, the purposes involved, retention and sharing principles, user rights and how those rights may be exercised. Open any section to reach the relevant information directly.
This policy covers the website, mobile-friendly web interfaces, platform forms, listing creation/management processes, and support/contact channels.
“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. “Processing” includes collection, recording, storage, alteration, transfer, making available, restriction, deletion/anonymization and similar operations.
Account/contact data (e.g., email/phone), listing content (title/description/features/location selection), technical data (IP address, browser/device info, timestamps, error/security logs) and other limited data necessary to provide the service. ReBALKAN follows a data-minimization approach.
Providing services (account operations, publishing/managing listings), platform security and abuse prevention, technical improvement and performance measurement, legal compliance, and handling user requests/support processes.
Personal data may be processed based on necessity for service performance, legitimate interests (e.g., security/abuse prevention), compliance with legal obligations, and where required, consent. Processing is limited to the minimum necessary for the stated purposes.
ReBALKAN does not sell personal data. Where necessary to provide the service, limited sharing may occur with service-provider categories such as infrastructure/hosting providers, CDN services (media delivery), analytics services (platform performance), and verification/communication services (e.g., SMS verification). Such sharing is limited to service provision purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards.
Depending on service-provider locations, data may be processed/transferred via servers outside the country. In such cases, ReBALKAN aims to maintain an appropriate level of protection and applies technical/organizational measures required by applicable rules.
Data is retained for as long as necessary for processing purposes. Account and listing data may be kept in line with the lifecycle of the account/listing; technical logs may be retained for limited periods for security and error analysis. Retention may be extended where required by legal obligations or dispute resolution needs.
Where permitted and/or required by law, personal data may be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized. ReBALKAN aims to avoid retaining unnecessary personal data.

When you sign in through a provider such as Google or Facebook, limited information shown on its consent screen may be received to create and verify your account. ReBALKAN does not see or store your external account password. The provider's own data terms also apply.
Published listings, account profiles and contact details you choose to display may be public and indexed by search engines. After removal, content may remain temporarily in third-party caches. Do not place unnecessary personal information in listing text or images.
